Cape Cod Style homes

The distinctive look of the Cape Cod Style home usually includes which are the heavy trim detail around the front entry door and the half-round transom window above the front door. Also there are usually that look the same planted on both sides of the door way, sometimes the windows are of equal number or on one side there will be one more than the other. Another apparent feature of this style is that it feature two or more small dormers on the roof and are usually one to two floors.

The houses that make up the nieghborhoods around Millersport highway between Eggert road and Bailey Avenue do seem to fit along the the conformed lines of a sitcom suburb. The peom little boxes does fit the description very well, maybe even a little to well its like reynolds was walking along these neighborhoods when writing this peom. “Little Boxes”

The houses have the same one level slanted roof, with the front grassy lawn the small entrance doors and small windows. Some of the houses might have minimal differences in the color but thats about it there all made out of the same material ( or boxes made of Ticky Tacky). These are very family oriented nieghborhoods where they all look the same, it even gets a little De JaVu when reynolds talks about how all the kids go to the university or how all the people play on the golf course considering that this neighborhood is really close the UB and the Amherst golf couse which are like just up the street.
